how to get count from following select satement

Hi

List<DTO> dtos = em.createQuery("SELECT NEW com.example.DTO( o.title, o.version) FROM Entity o").getResultList();

the above query works fine
I want to know what will be the query to get count from the same query.
following things did not work

"SELECT count(o) NEW com.example.DTO( o.title, o.version) FROM Entity o" //did NOT work 
"SELECT  NEW com.example.DTO( o.title, o.version) count(o) FROM Entity o"; //did NOT work
