On p.382 of JSR, session 14.2.2 System Exceptions
A system exception is an exception that is a java.rmi.RemoteException....


Based on some of my previous discussions on this forum, I guess this quote is only true for EJB 2.0.

In EJB 3.0 or later, a system exception is an exception that is a javax.ejb.EJBException.
Any comments?

Yes, the java.rmi.RemoteException is there for backwards compatibility of EJB 2.x.
