Hi Everyone,

It's been a long time since my last post in this forum. PHP captured my interest and had helped me shift career into a dev.
now I'm planning to study java again. any recommendation for a fresh start?,
because I saw at the home page of the forum
there is Java 7 and Java 8, so which should I go to begin with?

8. It's been out for a while, so you're not likely to run into any "bleeding edge" bumps; and it's backwards-compatible.

Warning: There's a LOT of new stuff in it that even I haven't got my head around yet; so be prepared for a "new, improved" Java.

Though be aware that Java8 introduced a lot of mostly advanced topics. Be sure that you wrap your head around core concepts before being confused by Java8 additions.
