Since I've not used WebSphere I can't say from personal experience, but I do know someone who has used both. His main points were that
1. WebSphere is a royal pain to configure.
2. WebSphere needs a HUGE amount of memory per bean to run efficiently.
I know that the installation of WLS is fairly straightforward, on NT it runs pretty much straight out of the box, on UNIX it needs a bit more 'hand-cranking' but still isn't complicated.
That of course is hearsay on the WebSphere side; if anyone has firsthand experience of WebSphere, please speak now!
