Thanks, as always, in advance.
I have been trying to re-install Java following being forced to uninstall any Java versions (don't ask me why). When I reinstall and alter the path accordingly, and compile, I constantly get the message that the jli.dll is missing when, in fact, it is not missing. Either that or I get a "missing javac" message. I have tried everything - both logged into the work network VPN and not. Interestingly, if I try to do a "pay as you go" Oracle support chat, "something" prevents the connection. Since I work for an ever increasingly secure medical IT company, it is likely there is virus software that I cannot even see, interferring with my installation that perhaps did not exist on the previous java installation I was using for a year now. I cannot do my Java nitpick homework once home, since I have other obligations after work and and am generally too exhausted to think after all that goes on here. I am very sad as I have enjoyed my Java lessons with the nitpickers so much and benefitted from them immensely. I have no idea how to get around this roadblock other than to ask developers on other teams how they got their Java installed and running. I am not "supposed" to be working in Java (according to my manager) and so it's possible that it's been fixed (as a sideline of this ever ramping security) so that I not CAN'T. Very depressed here. :>(
