Spring MVC get request gives message "The request sent by the client was syntactically incorrect ()"

I am trying to send GET request for Spring MVC but get error message "The request sent by the client was syntactically incorrect ()"


The JSP page categories.jsp:



The controller class:





When click on hyperlink it gives message The request sent by the client was syntactically incorrect ().

The parameter categoryId is int in the controller, but I don't think what you are sending from the JSP is integer value.
You have to get the key and value from the map, and decide which to send accordingly, now you are just passing the object in the map to the controller.
