Hi

I recently passed the OCP Java SE 7 Programmer II: 1Z0-804 with score 79%. I just wanted to share what I can remember from the exam and what materials I found most beneficial.

Materials.
1. Enthuware mock exams: JA+ V7 For OCP-JP-II SE7(1Z0-804)
2. OCP Java SE 7 Programmer II Certification Guide: 1ZO-804 by Mala Gupta(currently MEAP version 11, all chapters are now covered)

I spent about 7-8 weeks in total preparing for the exam. As source material I read the currently not published OCP certification guide by Mala Gupta. This can be purchased through Manning publications.

I also used the Enthuware OCP-JP-II SE7 mock exam simulator. I have said it before: "This really is an excellent piece of software with a large bank of questions, functionality to work on specific exam topics as well as take full mock exams with clear and compressive explanations of each exam question. There is also a very active support forum which was also invaluable."

I would add, that the Enthuware software is great value for money. I found it to be my most valuable resource for this exam.

For advice during the exam, I would just recommend that you try to relax and approach it as if you we're doing a mock exam. Easy to say, hard to do. I found I made basic mistakes at the beginning of the exam, while towards the middle and latter parts I was more relaxed and found tackling each question much easier.
