I want to use Micro service for document upload & download module of DMS(Document Management System).

Is there any performance impact to use upload & download module as micro service with compare to use as that module as embedded code in DMS?

This micro service is only responsible to store and retrieve data from different document repositories and using Apache commons VFS2 API to read & write document data (i.e. any IO operations) to and from different repositories.

Is there any performance impact of commons VFS2 API to read & write document data (i.e. any IO Operations) to different repositories?
