Can someone please take a quick look at what I am doing wrong here. I want to edit a <h1> tag using it's ID, via JSON (if that's possible lol).

This is what my code looks like:

First things first -- you are clearly using jQuery for some things, why are you not using it to do your Ajax?

Second thing, are you using the grower's debugger to set breakpoints and inspect the values are various points?

Yeah sure, I usualy use window.alert();
but the problem here is the syntax I guess. I can only make it work using this line:
document.getElementById("state").innerHTML = = json[r].name;

I want to be able to use a command with the $ sign, if you know what I mean, lol
