These are Weblogic Server add-ons which are desgined specifially for e-Commerce sites (ie.. site that have something to sell).
Commerce Server offers utilities and a ready-made "out of the box" solution for an e-commerce website which you can easily modify to fit your needs.
Personalization gives you the opportunity to offer a personalized feel to your e-commerce site or to make use of the "out of the box" portal solution to offer you isers the choice of what they want on their page and where they want it.
I spend a lot of time working with Personalization Server, it's very easy to use and maintain ... just making simple changes to the solution they offer can make a really nice application. My company has decided not to use Commerce Server since we've developed our own commerce solution but we have high hopes for Personalization Server.
Pounding at a thick stone wall won't move it, sometimes, you need to step back to see the way around.
