This week's book giveaways are in the Jython/Python and Object-Oriented programming forums. We're giving away four copies each of Machine Learning for Business: Using Amazon SageMaker and Jupyter and Object Design Style Guide and have the authors on-line! See this thread and this one for details.
An HOA in my area is looking for a firm to do a security audit on their IT systems. The software is all canned (Microsoft, MASS90, Great Plains). The network covers about one square-mile and runs between 25 buildings with 250 employees accessing . Some of the servers are web servers for residents to access their HOA account. The HOA has had policies and owner rules on the web for a long time but this year they want residents to start being able to set up an account, log in, pay fees online, file service requests, etc., using credit cards. They don't know if their security is ready for this yet and their systems have never been audited. The audit would review the hardware systems, software controls, employee access, Internet access, firewalls between outward facing servers and internal systems, and make recommendations based on the results.
Anyone have audit companies you've had good experiences with?
