Hello Ranchers ,

I am thinking to learn new Technology and seems like hadoop and big data is in demand .... I need some guidance for it.
As java developer which technology I should learn big Data or Hadoop..

Can any one please guide me also there is big data university which provides free courses for this. It will be great if someone can guide which course would be advantage for my career.

Try this discussion on how to get started with Hadoop. Hortonworks Sandbox is the easiest option for installing a starter version of Hadoop on your own machine - the links are in my post in that thread.

There is also a short online introductory course on Hadoop from Udacity. This course uses the Cloudera version of Hadoop and the course is free if you register to "access the course materials".

Big Data University offers lots of online courses, but I haven't really looked at these.
