Struts execution flow of Class files When request is received at web container

As I'm new to struts, I would like to know how a request travels inside the struts. Also I have some doubts.
1. Where action class objects created?
2. How execute method invoked?
3. What will be the HttpResponse when execute() returns success and success result mapped to success.jsp?

Please specify which version of Struts are you referring to ? Struts1 or Struts 2 ?

I'm using struts2.
