Hi,

There is a process running in an Unix server which in turn triggers main class in jar file.

I want to know if there is a possibility of remote debugging classes in jar file from my local eclipse...

Thanks,
Hafiez.

Yes there is that possibility.
The java process on the remote server needs to be started with special options to allow remote debugging:

for instance

Once you have done that, then you just use Eclipse to debug a "Remote Java Application" specifying the host and the port number to connect to.

Your local Eclipse will still need a copy of the remote code being run in order to be able to debug effectively though.
