Where can I find exam preparation exercises?

Hi all,

I am new to this website so I would like to greet everyone around.

I would like to apply for OCA Java SE7 certification and I got a bit confused regarding the associate book which has some exam preparation exercises.

I have followed your topic and I understood that "The OCPJP 7 Exam" by S.G. Ganesh and Tushar Sharma could be a book I can use. In the intro of this book it says it should be followed by people having the Java SE 7 Programmer II (1Z0-804 exam) and Upgrade to Java SE 7 Programmer (1Z0-805 exam) exams.
According to the above sentence, this should not be for me, as I would like to take the IZO-803 exam.
Any idea what can I use? Has anyone used this book for this exam before?

I have seen for Java 8 they actually have:
- OCA: Oracle Certified Associate Java SE 8 Programmer I Study Guide: Exam 1Z0-808 by Jeanne Boyarsky
- OCAJP Oracle Certified Associate Java SE 8 Programmer Practice Exams by Mitchell Glenn

I tried to look on Google for something similar in Java 7, but couldn't find any. On this topic I have found the OCAJP Practice Exams - Hanumant Deshmukh. Is this all right for the certification I would like to take (IZO-803)? Has anyone use it before? Was it helpful?

If I look at the webpage of the book at the publisher's website, it clearly states it's a book for the OCPJP7 exam, so this book is definitely not what you need if you are preparing for the OCAJP7 exam (1Z0-803).

Did you have a look at the very first post of this topic It has an up-to-date overview of all study materials for the OCA 7 and OCA 8 exams. Like the name already suggests, OCAJP Practice Exams - Hanumant Deshmukh has only practice exams, so it doesn't teach you the topics you need to know. It just offers you mock exams you can take, to monitor your knowledge level.

The 1st post of the aforementioned topic mentions mock exams software as well. Enthuware offers great value for money. IMPORTANT: OCAJP Practice Exams - Hanumant Deshmukh is an eBook version of Enthuware's simulator JA+ V7 for OCA-JP 7 Certification. It contains the same questions as the simulator.

Thanks for your reply.
Maybe I was not very clear in what I need. I have covered the required topics for the exam, I wanted to have some exercises and monitor myself.

To answer to your first question: No, I did not get to the first page of this topic, I was just browsing around and I think I went straight to the second page.
In the meantime I took some time and reviewed all answers from this topic. I have just bought the SE 7 package from Enthuware and finished my first test. Still scared about the result, but happy for what they offer indeed. The UI and explanations are great and easy to follow. I honestly didn't expect to be so excited about them! It encouraged me to work more!

I understood now that the book OCAJP Practice Exams - Hanumant Deshmukh contains only mock test, I'll get that one too.

Did you read my previous post thoroughly? Especially this important notice: OCAJP Practice Exams - Hanumant Deshmukh is an eBook version of Enthuware's simulator JA+ V7 for OCA-JP 7 Certification. It contains the same questions as the simulator.

So if you already bought Enthuware's simulator for OCAJP7, there is no need to buy OCAJP Practice Exams - Hanumant Deshmukh as well, because it's exactly the same!
