what's the best practice for inserting 10k records in DB using JDBC Template?

Hi guys, I need to insert/update 10k records at once.

Can someone please give advice or some tips on how to use jdbc template with this for best performance. I am using Mysql

Did you try? What did you get?

If you are inserting very small data, like 10 bytes per record, there should be no issue.

But if you have 10kb amount of data per record, you need to split them into multiple transactions, if it slows the program down or crashes. You dont want to wait 5 hours, then a record in the middle throws exception and you have to rollback the whole thing, and rerun everything right?
