I have below piece of code which is meant for an i-frame integrated in our application. I want the link shown in iframe to be disabled so that user cannot click on any link. This code works fine in chrome and firefox but its not working in IE8. I know the attribute "pointer-events: none" does not work in IE < IE10. could you please tell me workaround for this. I want this link to be disabled at any cost in IE as well. You can directly access the link also by hitting the URL

<iframe class="mcf-contentframe" scrolling="no" frameborder="0"

src="" width="700px"

height="23px" style="pointer-events: none;cursor: default;"></iframe>

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
