Hi everyone,

I have started to study for the OCMJEA and I am starting to study the EJB so I downloaded the "ejb-3_1-fr-spec" that I found here: https://jcp.org/aboutJava/communityprocess/final/jsr318/
Now I have 2 questions:

1)is this guide enough to accomplish the questions that will there be in the test?

2)in this guide there are chapters on EJB 2.1, can I skip it? To study EJB3.1 I need to have knowledge of the the EJB 2.1?

I reckon you are going for v6. EJB2.x is not needed. However, if you are going for v5 then EJB2.x is needed (interoperability and intergration purposes)

For the EA cert/exam, a high level of EJB is needed, such as what, when to use, pros and cons for the following
stateless/stateful session beans
interceptors
message-driven beans and JMS
transactions: CMT and BMT
persistence: CMP and BMP, JDO, JPA, ORM framework (eg Hibernate), DAO
security: declarative and programmatic
