Hi, I am trying to use three cookies in a servlet to store the background and foreground color and text size but my code is not working for some reason. When I run the servlet I get an IndexOutOfBounds exception and in my code is says my cookies are not ever used, when they should be to store the variables? Anyone have any ideas as to what's going on?

Well, you obviously need to solve the exception before worrying about anything else. Please post the stack trace for the exception so we can see exactly where it is occurring.

To debug it yourself, look for code that indexes into an array improperly.

OK, so the error is on line 28. Look at the code. What do you think could be happening there? Your code seems to be making some assumptions that may not be true; what are those assumptions?

I can see the array is looking for an element that doesn't exist. I think I get the error but don't understand why the program is saying my cookies aren't being used when the variables are clearly being assigned references when certain conditions are met. So, they're not going into the array because they're not being used but my code does use them. I must be missing something but I don't understand what that is. Something wrong with my flow of control or execution of statements?
