Hello,

Is this tutorial: https://wink.apache.org/1.0/html/JAX-RS%20Getting%20Started.html working?

I am trying to create a very simple rest like service just like the one above but when I try to access the service after deployment I have an error 404.

I did create the project in Eclipse. I am using Java 1.8.0_25 with Debian 7 AMD64 and I am deploying on Tomcat 8.0.20.

Is there something I need to add in my web.xml? I have all the librairies they are listing. I have no error in the logs.

What can I do?

I did map another servlet with the same mapping and I am able to access it. It seems to be an internal problem.

The tutorial at Apache Wink : JAX-RS Getting Started never worked for me.

The solution that did work for me is at Build a RESTful Web service using Jersey and Apache Tomcat. So I did use the Jersey implementation. I needed all the librairies from Jersey JAX-RS 2.0 RI bundle.

Here is my web.xml:

No mapping in web.xml. It does not work with a mapping there. I used @ApplicationPath("/") on my application.

I also had difficulties because Eclipse was not deploying my application properly.
