That looks a lot like BEA's bug report "CR054009", the fix for which is suppsed to appear in Service Pack 11, probably within a few weeks.

Hi, it may be late to answer but, may be this answer could help other peoples. It seems like you started your weblogic instance with one service pack and then you are trying to stop it with another one. Please try to stop it just with this command : java weblogic.Admin t3://my_server_name:my_port SHUTDOWN system my_password. Good luck
