Hello to everyone!
I've got a trouble with Glassfish and NetBeans. When I create a simple Hello World project (from Spring template) and run it, server starts freezing, than i stop application run in NetBeans and start it again, and after that I'm getting such messages: Starting the GlassFish Server GlassFish Server is running. Deploy in place on C: \ Users \ Administrator \ Documents \ NetBeansProjects \ Spring_Hello \ build \ web
GlassFish Server, deploy, Connection refused: connect, false.

Welcome to Javaranch!

Are you starting out with learning / developing new Java EE application? If so, I would recommend you to use Tomcat or JBoss!

What do you mean when you say the application starts freezing when you start the Glassfish server from Eclipse?
If you are trying to start an already started server, you get the error you mentioned. I would suggest using the server only from one IDE at a time.
Also you can start the server using startup.bat (don't remember the exact name) or the shortcut you get under Start Menu -> All Programs.
