Hi,

I am preparing for the Java 6 Architect certification, and as some of the friends suggested going through the Java 6 Tutorial. Any of you have any idea how depth we need to learn this? For example Chapter 8 going in detail for the JSF facelets implementation and won't hep for the exam?. Is that required for the exam? If you have any idea what chapters helpful for the exam the please share.

I am following Paul and Joseph Bambara book but i think this will help you just as a guideline. So planning to buy ePracticeLab QA.

Thanks
Tom

For the part 1 exam, the essence is to understand the technologies or API such that you don't need to delve into code. Using the 5W and how, focus on the "what", "when", and "why"

What is it
When to use it
Pros and cons
Compare it with similar tech/API in the JEE platform (eg stateful EJB vs HTTP session)
