How to verify Email and Mobile number in real life applications?

Hi there

I am developing a web application in which I am registering a user then I need to verify their email and mobile numbers in real life till then they are not able to login their credentials?

What are the ways this can be done?

I am using Java(JSP,ServletsI in back end?

Send them an email with a unique code to the email address they use. Until they enter the code correctly, their account is not activated.

You can do the same for a phone number with a text message.

Well of course you wouldn't do it in a JSP. JSP is for displaying HTML, so as you can see it makes no sense to send SMS messages in a JSP. You'd use a servlet or a helper class instead. Those are written in Java.

I read somewhere there are SimpleWire and Ozeski for SMS gateway for mobile number

One thing I also want to know what should be flow of message

I have few thing in mind
1)For mobile Number
>User is registered
>A Message is send to user.
>User perform some activity that is ask on SMS(How to connect this step to web application,There should be a servlet,that will verify those values then all data inserted in database is activated)
