This is an HTML comment, a HTML comment begins with '<!--', ends with '-->'.

That's working perfectly. Comments do not appear on the display. Period.

Now, if you are asking how to make those characters appear on the display, then you need to encode the characters so that HTML doesn't treat it as a comment.

Hint: the HTML entity (encoding) for an opening angle bracket is &lt;
