How to assign a function to a table's TR without assigning it to the THEAD's TR?

I am setting some onClick function on the rows of a table using:

$("#providersTable tr").click(function() {


How can I avoid to assign the function to the <tr> that is inside a <thead>?

If you have a thead, I assume you also have a tbody?

If so:

$('#providersTable').find('tbody').find('tr').click(function() {
