Hello again!

I recently took my first Enthuware mock-test. I failed but it gave me great insight into what to expect. However, I'm curious to know if questions get repeated on multiple test taking.
Rather than blow through all the questions I was going to shoot for taking a test per month (I'm planning on taking the cert in September).
I'd rather not keep failing the test and using up questions if they are finite but I'd like to do practice tests every couple weeks if possible.
Would I be better off supplementing with other (hopefully free) mock tests and saving the enthuware tests for the real practice?

Thanks!
-Mark

That would indeed be my advice. Save the Enthuware mock exams to monitor your progress and to give you an idea about your current level and readiness for the exam (so you could reschedule your exam if needed).

When you have taken an Enthuware mock exam, you could of course take that particular exam as many times as you want. But only use the score of the 1st attempt as an indication of your current level, because you probably will answer some questions correctly thanks to memorization instead of pure knowledge. And that might give a wrong impression of your current level.

I don't know if many other free mock tests are available. You have WhizLabs as well, but these exams don't get very good reviews. Enthuware is without any doubt the best out there. In the OcajpFaq some free mock tests are listed as well. On the Oracle website, you'll find a few sample questions as well.
Finally, if you are using a study guide like K&B7, OCAJP 7 Study Guide (Mala Gupta), or OCAJP 8 Study Guide (Jeanne Boyarsky, Scott Selikoff); you'll have some practice questions after each chapter and some practice mock exams as well (which you could use for practice).

Hope it helps!
Kind regards,
Roel

Hi Mark,

I would like to add to Roel's reply above and suggest that you should reserve some Enthuware tests in the final fortnight of your preparation.
These reserved tests, if taken in a timed format, can help you fine tune your performance for the test.

Thanks,
