Hi Everybody,
I finally passed the certification exam. That's means I got all the free time to concentrate on the festivities for X-mas & New Year(That's if this miserable London weather permits me!!!).
I worked on it for the past 2 months. All the questions were based on the weblogic documentation I downloaded.
It took me some time to get organized.
I initially read a good book on EJB. I would recommend - Mastering Enterprise JavaBeans by Ed Roman.
Apart from that I read a good book on servlets/jsp's. I don't think the weblogic documentation is a good place to begin, if you have little or no knowledge on these subjects. My Java skills are fairly strong. So I did not have to read a book on it. Also I am a sun certified java programmer.
These are the weblogic documents I went through thoroughly
Servlet
Jsp
Taglib
Ejb (Also creating Message Driven Beans)
Cluster(after reading docs51/cluster/concepts.htm)
Rmi
Rmi_iiop
Jndi
Jdbc
Jta
Jms
Security(Just the basics)
and finally
Adminguide (in great detail)
Studying the above topics did it for me. I got through in the first attempt itself. Hope this helps any of you out there who wish to go for the exam.
Cheers
Danish

Congrats Danish. Some day I would like to pass this exam too
I have a question in Weblogic. I am trying to connect to MSSqlServer from WebLogic, but i get the following error:
java.sql.SQLException: Login failed for user 'abc'. Reason: Not associated with
a trusted SQL Server connection. Severity 14, State 1, Procedure 'null null', L
ine 0 Unable to connect, please check your server's version and availability.
Do you know how I can solve this?
I am able to connect with isql, but not through dbping/ with a java test driver.
Thanks,
Sita
