(1) Shucks! I paid $10 for a tutorial video on Cassandra and I cannot get the accompanying sample java code to work. It is hard enough to learn a new topic without having to debug the sample code at the same time.

Can someone recommend some sample java or groovy code that works with the latest version of Cassandra and can get me started?

I prefer maven or gradle with eclipse or spring tool suite.

(2) How do you feel about spring wrappers? Should I start out with a Spring sample instead of plain java/groovy? Can someone recommend a simple spring sample/tutorial that demonstrates some basic features of Cassandra?
