We are in the process of converting an existing app. running on wle 5.0 (most of the ejb and java client are compiled on jdk 1.2)(wls 6.1 uses jdk1.3) . My question is is there any one who either did similar project or familiar with the ups and downs of such a move .. please let me know any recommendations you might have or any thing you might think of i either need to be aware of or avoid.. thanks in advance

Hi Adam,
I too migrated my existing application to WLS6.0 and then WLS6.1 But my migration was also changes in Bean, so each bean is compiled and then I generated stubs for container by ejbc. If you are in the migration process, you first run weblogic.ejbc against each jar, 'coz there is some changes in deployment part. Even when I migrated from WLS6.0 to 6.1 I found that some Transaction features in Deployment Descriptor are not supported in WLS6.1 though it was well working in WLS6.0
I hope this will help
Thanx
Rashid
