why log directory is empty?

hi
my apache-tomcat -7.0.54>logs directory is empty

why is there no log file in apache server?

Without further information, this is hard to tell!
Was / is your server running, do you have the correct logging level enabled, does the folder have the correct permissions set?

Possible causes:

1. Tomcat user doesn't have write access to TOMCAT_HOME/logs

2. TOMCAT_HOME/logs/disk is full

3. Log directory was set to be somewhere else. Some Tomcat distros don't output the catalina.out (server stdout) file to TOMCAT_HOME/logs.
 
With a little knowledge, a cast iron skillet is non-stick and lasts a lifetime.
