I wanted to clarify a doubt regarding OCJP-6 and OCA 7 .It is known that either we have to pass OCJP-6 or OCA-7 in order to be eligible for OCJP 7. I plan to give OCJP 6 in August this year.Is there any disadvantage ,considering Java 9 will launch soon .Though companies still use Java 6 or 7 in production considering I will need the certificate in an year from during interviews.Lastly Can someone post a link to mock exams apart from exam labs or chapter wise tests like K&B book (Kathy Sierra and Barry Bates)

Just to be clear, you have to take the Java 7 upgrade exam (not the Java Programmer II) exam if you have taken the OCP 6 exam.Make sure you register for the right exam when you get there.

While I think having the Java 7 cert is better, having the Java 6 one is fine for screens.
