As an old Java ME/SE/EE developer I'm considering to return to mobile app development, and wondering if the book is recommended to start with? Regarding IDE, as I'm very comfy with Eclipse, will the book support examples/images from only Android studio, or will it be more generic examples (non IDE depended)?

Thanks,
Cato

Android studio is official IDE now. It is easy to use and is sophisticated.
The book seems to be perfect for a returning programmer like you. As the contents show.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
