Hi and thanks for promoting this book in the forum!

I have a question,
1. Will this book cover the development of an App with a real world example.
2. Will it have some explanation for how to deploy in a simulator and work with an IDE
3. Will it cover steps to perform for publishing it to the app store
4. Will it have the basics for applying CSS and play with JavaScript/JQuery.
5. Will it have topics on how we can make it run as a background process or send notifications to the user or interact with third party websites.
6. Probably throw some light on some expected errors or bottlenecks or common mistakes.

I am sorry, too many questions, I am new to Android development.

Hello Ravi,

Yes--we have lots of real apps for you to develop throughout th book. You can see the ones you build here:

We'll show you how to deploy to the emulator from the first chapter. We don't go into how to publish your apps, simply because the details are likely to change fairly often. We do, however, link to the places where you can find out. We deal with background processing and notifications. We don't cover CSS or jQuery. For that, you might want to take a look at Head First JavaScript Programming.
