I managed the OCAJP7 Exam last week with a score of 78%.

From time to time, I have questioned myself why I am doing that but I have come to appreciate the deepening of the Java concepts that are needed to success the exam. The modern IDEs are helping one much nowadays but . . .

It took me two months to prepare and I used mainly the “OCA/OCP Java SE 7 Programmer I & II Study Guide” from Sierra Kathy, the “Oracle Press Practice Exam Software” and Whizlabs.

The Oracle Software comes with two and Whitzlabs with five tests and working through that helped me a lot. The Book and the Internet supported me in the areas that I had to improve.

Whitzlabs is web base application. I liked it a lot, as I could work on that from different locations, also the “quick revision notes” are worth going through. I need to mention that I did not like the performance of the site, which I found from time to time too slow.

Hope this will help further candidates . .
