Hello!

Before this exam I had been preparing for one month, reading CodeRanch tips and personal experience topics.
Now I'm happy to register here and say that I passed this exam

My study guides:
1) Kathy Sierra, Bert Bates - OCA/OCP Java SE 7 Programmer I & II Study Guide
2) Oracle http://docs.oracle.com/javase/tutorial/extra/certification/javase-7-programmer1.html
3) Maurice Naftalin's Lambda FAQ http://www.lambdafaq.org/

It's strange, but I had only one question with lambdas and about 4-5 with the new DateTime API (bad random?)

I will continue to learn new features of Java 8 and going to prepare for OCPJP8

Vitaliy,
Congrats!

While there is randomness, you shouldn't have gotten a lot of questions on either topic as they are each only one exam objective. On the OCP, you'll see a lot more!

As far as getting 4-5 on Date/Time, you probably got some "unscored" questions. Oracle does that when they want to try out new questions. They put them in exams to see how people do, but don't count them towards your score.

Thanks!

I was planning to take OCAJP7, but changed my mind while ordering voucher. It was worth it
