Hi Simon Roberts,

I went through http://www.pearsonitcertification.com/store/oracle-certified-associate-java-se-7-programmer-exam-9780789753670 and the course content is good.

I have the below queries regarding the OCA Java SE 7 Programmer Exam Complete Video Course

1>Is the OCA Java SE 7 Programmer Exam Complete Video Course explaining the java concepts through Java code examples so that learning would be fun when we practise writing code.

2> Is the OCA Java SE 7 Programmer Exam Complete Video Course downloadable to Laptop.

Hope to be a winner of this copy.

Regards
Deepak Lal

Hi Deepak, thanks for taking a look at the course, I appreciate your interest!

I use a mixture of whiteboard diagrams and live-code I write in an IDE to supplement the explanations of the topics in the course. I hope the result is interesting and compelling, as well as achieving the primary goal of clear, easy to follow and understand, explanations.

At this time, the course is not downloadable. This is because there are 17 hours of HD (720) video, and it would be pretty huge. It's actually a question that I, along with some folks internal to Pearson, have raised, and is in consideration. I, for example, spend a lot of my life on aeroplanes, and the ability to download something is quite important to me. So, clearly it's not my place, nor in my power to make promises, but at least know that the issue is being considered sympathetically.

(Good luck in the drawing!)
Cheers,
Simon

Oh, as a side note, my other current course, "Java Programming Basics" is much shorter, and that is downloadable. I guess that's intended to illustrate that the organization isn't against downloadable content on some warped principle or other
