I don't know if here is the right place to write this, but let me try it:

On Java OCA 8 Programmer I Study Guide - page 160 - question 24 - 3° chapter has and error:

What is the result of the following?

Perhaps a mistake here in line 7

names.asList()

instead

Arrays.asList(names);

This make the answer different from what is in the book..

Hi Thomas Teixeira,

First of all, a warm welcome to CodeRanch!

It's preferred to create a seperate topic each time you think you encountered a mistake in the study guide. So it's much easier for the author to manage and keep track of the errata items. That's why I moved your posts to a seperate thread. Hope that's ok with you!

As you already discovered yourself, you spotted an intended compiler error in the study guide Expect to see questions like this on the exam. And if you spot the compiler error (like you did here), these questions are probably the easiest ones on the exam: just select "compilation fails" and move on to the next question.

Hope it helps!
Kind regards,
Roel

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
