Is there any way to make one war file(w1) use the libraries which is in another war file(w2) in jboss 4.2?

Hi welcome to Coderanch

Why are you packaging common library into WAR? It can be placed in the lib folder of JBoss. I am not sure if 4.2 has such a folder, 5.1 does.

Why are you still using JBoss 4.2? JBoss AS is already at version 9 (now called WildFly), and EAP is at 6.4.1.

Did you restart the server after putting jars in the lib folder? I think a restart is required.
