As I found out there are a couple of java related subfolder in

C:\Users\<username>\AppData\LocalLow\Sun\Java\.....
e.g.

jdk1.7.0_21
jdk1.8.0_51
jre1.8.0_20
jre1.8.0_45
AU
Deployment

Can I delete them all?

Or is the folder with the newest version number needed (even after successful installation)?

Don't know. That sort of folder in \users\ usually contains history about how the program has been used in the past.

You could rename the folders so they can't be found, and see if anything bad happens. I usually just add an X to the front of the name to make it easy to revert back.

I've removed folders related to Java versions I've uninstalled without any problems before. I've never tried removing the folder of the current version though. It might be needed for uninstalling.
