Hi all,

What is , in your experience, the easiest to read manual/book about hibernate, that explains all the basics ? I am just a beginner and know pretty much nothing (it maps tables to classes), except some very basic tutorial I've read on MKyong.

I would very much like a pdf/word version, something I can print and read it on paper.

Well, I have a copy of Manning's "Hibernate in Action", although I haven't picked it up recently. Since I'm mostly using Hibernate JPA, the bulk of what I need to reference is in the Apress book "Pro JPA 2". They're both fairly old by now, although quite useful. For the more up-to-date stuff, I go to the online documents at hibernate.org and related sites.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
