Basically, you'd define a binding point on the View Template and add logic to you backing bean to insert/remove/change View elements.
That's not something you want to do lightly. Things can get confused and out of sync.
Fortunately, it's not usually necessary. For cases like what you are describing, just embed the prototype inputText control in a dataTable control.
JSF will render as many inputText elements are you've defined corresponding dataTable DataModel rows to hold their values.
The secret of how to be miserable is to constantly expect things are going to happen the way that they are "supposed" to happen.
You can have faith, which carries the understanding that you may be disappointed. Then there's being a willfully-blind idiot, which virtually guarantees it.
