Spent a bit too much time doing so! Would have sat the exam a lot earlier, but sadly due to my last contract commitments I lacked the time.
For material; I restricted myself to the provided notes, and completed the course exercises (labs) a few more times. Everything, and a lot more, was covered on the course! Did use the official reference documentation, but only for reference.
Also used the the official spring "Core Spring 4.0 Study Guide" from the Pivotal certification page.
I did review your study notes (and thanks for providing these); found them useful as the principals have not changed in the upgraded exam. However the subject matter has changed in line with new, fourth release of the framework (but, of course, I cannot comment on the actual exam!).
Had bought a few Spring 4 books, before I did the course, but did not find them very useful.
Found the whole experience rewarding as it was a review of some of the old principles (stuff I learnt 20 years ago!), and how they apply within the latest technology. A lot of technologies were covered on the course.
