I have experience with Swing and I am new to JavaFX. I am planning to appear for Developer Certification (SCJD/OCMJD). Is the project work to be done using Swing or JavaFX or is it the developers choice ?

Thanks and Regards,
K. Mahesh

When I took the SCJD certification (in 2009), there was no JavaFX and thus you had to use Swing.

From my understanding of recent posts about this certification, the instructions are pretty much the same than 5-6 years ago, and back in the days using Swing components was a must requirement. See here for more details.

Hope it helps!
Kind regards,
Roel
