Hi All,
Just a quick query, I have been using enthuware software for some mock tests for the OCAJP7 exam. Just wanted to know if the real exam also allows pausing in between questions like the mock exams on enthuware software.

Did you know you posted in the "Servlets" forum?

Meanwhile, I don't know what you mean by "pause"

Sure, you can sit and do nothing for a while during your exam, but the clock won't stop running, so I recommend you just focus for a couple of hours!

(Sorry if I missed the point, however).

Cheers,
Simon

Well, let me be (among the) first to welcome you to Java Ranch! And don't stress, we all make mistakes--if we didn't we wouldn't need a forum And good luck when you get to taking the actual test!

Hi Riyana Lewis,

First of all, a warm welcome to CodeRanch!

After answering 50% of the questions you could reward yourself with a 30 minute pause and just sit on your seat and do nothing. But the clock won't be taking the same pause, it keeps doing what it knows best: ticking down

Hope it helps!
Kind regards,
Roel

No problem! CodeRanch is a friendly place for (programming) greenhorns, so one of the staff members will move your topic to the appropriate forum, free of charge

I take a different approach. I answer 10-15 questions and then look away from the computer for 15-30 seconds. This keeps my mind fresh and prevents me from getting tired of looking at the computer.

I am guessing that you mean pausing the clock. Pausing the clock implies there is no time limit. One could then pause for each question, effectively negating the time limit altogether. Now that would not make any sense, would it?
Our simulator has this feature because sometimes people may not be able to dedicate 2+ hours at a single stretch. They may want to finish the test in multiple sittings but still keep track of the time spent.
