Hi,

I wanted to know which Certifcation version on Java SE 8 to choose from. Is it IZO-808 or IZO-810.

I have not certified on the previous versions of Java 7/6.

Can someone please help.

Thanks
Venky

Welcome to CodeRanch!

You should take the 808 exam. (The 810 exam is for those who have passed an older version of the exam)

Hi,

First of all, a warm welcome to CodeRanch!

If you are not certified, you have to take the OCAJP8 exam (1Z0-808). The 1Z0-810 is the Upgrade Java SE 7 to Java SE 8 OCP Programmer exam, so that requires you are already OCPJP7 certified.

Instead of taking the OCAJP8 exam, you could also opt for the OCAJP7 exam (1Z0-803). Here you'll find additional information to decide between OCAJP7 and OCAJP8 certification.

Hope it helps!
Kind regards,
Roel
