Just took the OCA 8, 85%. Missed on some specific api-details (i think). Last time it took it was Java 6, so it was time for a refreshener of some basics. Still I work with Java everyday for many years, but I guess even a lot of my also experienced friends would struggle with some answers on the exam.

I really think I learn a lot every time I take an cert. Things I've forgotten, or did think I knew how they work..
Now I'm gonna take some days off, and then start reading up on java 8 for the OCP (which I already have done some projects with), last time around was Java 6 OCP.

I used Whizzlabs tests, the exam book from wiley, and Bates, Sierra Java oca/ocap book!

Cheers!!
