Oracle took the Junior Associate exam off their exam list. Do you think that means they thought better of the idea? Or that they are only allowing people to take it from their class so it isn't publicly viewable anymore?

Looking at the official Java Foundations Junior Associate (1Z0-811) page gives you this error message
This exam is either retired or invalid.

I'll let you know in October! It's still listed on the beta page.

I took the exam because I wanted to see if my OCA 8 book could be used to study for this test.

Hi

Thanks for the response.
I took the initiative and contact oracle education as to request further information for the results and the possible reason why the certification is not listed on the normal exam list as beta period is closed.

Here follows the response i got today, hope it helps:

The beta score for 1Z1-811 exam will be available in few weeks. You will receive an email notification once the result is available. Please note based on discoveries during the beta, we've put the release of this exam on hold and we'll announce on the blog when we are ready to release.

Have a nice day!

At least from above it seems that it will be everntually released after consideration and not be considered as obsolete.

And now it is in production as a real exam. It says beta scores came out two weeks ago. Mine still says pending. Could be cert view being broken/delayed.

I stil don't think people should take the Foundation exam over the real OCA. That said, it anyone does, Scott and my OCA book with a few supplemental blog posts (including mock questions) can be used to study.
