Hi all,
Today I passed the
Java EE 6 Web Services Developer(1Z0-897) exam.
For me this forum helped a lot in the preparation for the exam.
Therefore, I decided to open a
thread to share my knowlegde among other exam candidates.
First of all I want to mention that I passed the exam with 85% so my preparation was not perfect.
Because pf prior work experience I already had a lot of knowlegde about webservices.
In addition to this I studied about 5 days (4 รก 6 hours) for this exam.
I mainly used the Enthuware question bank developed by Frits Walraven.
This really helped me to get the details straight, because I already knew the global concepts.
My advice on how to prepare:
First read a lot about Web Services.(e.g. Web Services Up and Running).
Second develop a JAX-RS REST service with
EJB as root source. + client(jersey).
Third develop a very extensive JAX-WS
SOAP web service with all the tools possible(i.e. adressing, handlers etc.) + clients(proxy + dispatch).
Fourth practice the Enthuware question bank for 4-5 days straight to get all the details you need to know.
Finally, I want to use this opportunity to thank Frits for his effort on creating the Enthuware question bank. These questions were very useful for me.
Bedankt Frits
!
Kind Regards,
