I have created a custom plugin in Maven, but the jar file that is created for the same has name as: CustomPlugin-1.0.jar.lastUpdated...with lastupdated as extension..also tried to open the file..but its corrupt..
Can someone please guide how to create a valid jar file for a custom plugin..

You have to create a maven plugin using maven. Basically, you create a maven project with packaging=maven-plugin. Then you put in a class in there that extends AbstractMojo and contains your custom plugin code. You build with maven and maven will create the correct jar for you.

Here's a step by step guide

How did you build it? Did you run mvn clean install. Did you get errors?
